The tech community is waiting for the arrival of the LG G4 and the Sony Xperia Z4. Basing on the speculations and leaks involving the two, their makers are on the move to unveil topnotch smartphones that are expected to wow the crowd. There will never really be solid specs details about the devices until they are released, so for now, the rumors are enough to give users an idea on what the handsets will look like once the covers are taken off.
The LG G4 is touted to be almost bezel-free, with only 0.7 mm of it to surround its edges. The Xperia Z4 will also take that route as Sony reportedly plans to keep its staple OmniBalance design with more rounded corners and little to no bezels. There could also be a 1.2-mm glass panel to go with that.
According to reports, the LG G4 will come with a 5.3-inch True HD display. The Sony Xperia Z4 is relatively smaller with a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen. Both will set their visuals at 1440 x 2560 pixels, but the Sony handset should come with crisper graphics, thanks to its 565 ppi pixel density. The LG G4 is not expected to lag behind though as it bears a promising 554 ppi pixel density.
Both handsets are looking to integrate Qualcomm's latest processor, the Snapdragon 810. This piece of hardware is made up of four cores of 1.5 GHz and four cores of 2 GHz. Rumors also suggest that the two upcoming devices have identical approach on memory size as they will offer 32 GB and 64 GB paired with 3 GB RAM. In addition, they will come with a microSD slot that will allow users to expand the phones' storage capacity up to 128 GB.
However, the Xperia Z4 has the upper hand when it comes to imaging capabilities. The Sony handset is rumored to pack a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera while its LG contender is expected to be loaded with a 16-megapixel shooter. It is important to note that there are others factors that can affect a camera's performance apart from its megapixels. LG's G4 and Sony's Xperia Z4 are both said to be going for a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Battery life-wise, the Sony Xperia Z4 is rumored to put forward an insane two-day usage while LG is expected to be working to extend its product's juice as well.
The LG G4 and the Sony Xperia Z4 are rumored to put in an appearance during the Mobile World Congress happening from March 2 to 5 in Barcelona.
