LA Clippers roster news 2015: Stephenson ready to rebound with new team

For someone like Lance Stephenson, it does seem tough to try and rebound with a new team considering you were one of the top free agents the previous years.

After ditching the Indiana Pacers and moving on to the Charlotte Hornets, Stephenson just hasn't been the same. Of course he did deal with injuries along the way but when he was up and about, it simply wasn't the same Lance Stephenson who brought energy to the Pacers before.

What did happen to Stephenson? Was it a mistake signing him to a lucrative deal? Was he a headcase?

Apparently these are the cases that went around on his failure to live up to the hype in Charlotte. There were rumors that he was hard to deal with and that he simply lost the character that made him a top prospect by teams last season.

In perhaps the first time he has touched on the topic, Stephenson spoke about his past and how he plans to get back on track over at the Bleacher Report.

As far as his time with Charlotte, Stephenson is simply clueless. He found it hard to blend in with Kemba Walker as he believes his style of play was simply not made for the Hornets. Try as he might, the touch and the fluidity was simply not around for the temperamental forward.

The good thing about that episode is that Stephenson was humbled by the whole ordeal. And as he is now given a new lease on life with the Los Angeles Clippers, Stephenson is trying to do his part and get himself back into game shape.

His confidence has obviously been shattered and from the looks of it, he has a tough grind ahead. But with Doc Rivers showing utmost confidence that Stephenson can be a vital cog of the Clippers, all he has to do right now is work on himself and get on the same page with the star-studded lineup for the 2015-16 NBA wars.
