Justin Bieber's mom defends son from disapproval of Selena Gomez's mom

Justin Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, posts a proud message about him on social media, just a few days after it was revealed that Selena Gomez's mom is against their rekindled love affair.

Mallette took to Instagram on Thursday to express how proud she is of her 23-year-old son. "None of us are perfect and never will be," she began her post, as if it is an answer to previous statements from Mandy Teefey, Gomez's mother. Mallette reminded her son of the constant need for patience and grace, as she noted Bieber's "growing relationship with Jesus."

The doting mother continued to express her love for the "Love Yourself" singer, who she described as mature and "wise beyond your years." She also called him a funny person whose "heart is gold."

She finished her message with a touching "I love you to the moon and back."

Mallette's doting caption is accompanied by a photo of her and Bieber cuddling close together on a boat.

Her post arrives just a few days after Gomez's mother told Gossip Cop that she is "not happy" about the on-again-off-again couple's renewed romance. She explained she has not talked to Bieber in years, even during her daughter's medical ordeal.

Teefey, however, clarified that while "every mother and daughter has disagreements," she respects her "adult" daughter, saying she can make her own choices.

"Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy," she added.
In a since-deleted Facebook post, however, Teefey made a rare emotional statement about recent issues surrounding her daughter.

Teefey denied having a formal interview with Gossip Cop, explaining she has had only one of that in Gomez's entire career, which was done with E! News and with her daughter's consent. However, she also did not deny making statements against her relationship with Bieber.
