American pop singer and song writer Janet Jackson has been reportedly spending time with one of her former flings, rapper and producer Jermaine Dupri. The news comes just weeks after Jackson split with her ex-husband, businessman Wissam Al Mana, after five years of marriage. The two have been seen out in public cozying to each other, but does this necessarily mean that they are actually back together?
In a report by Entertainment Tonight, the relationship that Jackson currently has with Dupri is "strictly platonic." This means that despite the two being seen in close proximity to each other, and even holding hands, the rumors of the two dating may not even be true. However, they have been seen to break bread together over dinner just after Jackson concluded her world tour called "State of the World" back in early September.
However, other reports say otherwise, and that the two are 100 percent back together. It seems that after Jackson's divorce with Al Mana back in April, Dupri tried to contact her. However, Jackson initially declined any advances from Dupri, and even chose to not speak to him at all. Eventually, that changed, and the two have decided to start with a clean slate, as they get to know one another all over again.
As reported by Us Weekly, when Dupri was asked about Jackson's "State of the World" tour, he stated that he was not able to attend any of the shows personally. However, he mentioned that from the video clips that he has seen, the tour "looks good." At this point, it is still unclear if the two have reconnected on a platonic level, or a romantic one, especially since both Dupri and Jackson have not made official public statements regarding their status yet.
Jackson is known to be a very private person, which means that fans will probably have to wait a while for confirmation regarding her relationship status.
