'Iron Man 4' release date, cast spoilers: Colin Farrell to replace Robert Downey Jr?

For "Iron Man" movie fans, there's good news and bad news. The good news is that the release date for "Iron Man" 4 may be before 2018 and it will definitely be after "The Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Now for the bad news... Robert Downey Jr. may not be returning as Iron Man anymore. According to Air Herald, Downey Jr. is no longer interested in playing Tony Stark as he has done perfectly so in the previous "Iron Man" movies. The reason? His age is no longer suited to play a superhero. Rumor has it that the frontrunner to replace him is none other than Colin Farrell. Would you agree with this?

Downey Jr. will definitely appear in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" but still doubtful in appearing in "Iron Man" 4. The main problem here is, all Iron Man fans have already identified to Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Any wrong casting decision can spell disaster for the franchise.

From Downey Jr. himself, he said that "age has become an important factor" and that the franchise will look for someone who is more age-appropriate eventually. This started the rumors that Downey Jr. will not be seen blasting off enemies anymore.

Downey Jr., being the Iron Man we've all come to love, will be extremely difficult to replace. Rumor has it that there are 16 possible actors who will be the next Iron Man. The list includes a bunch of A-listers like Matt Damon, George Clooney, Jamie Norton, Ryan Gosling and Robert Pattinson. But again, Farrell seems like the favorite.

On the other hand, Downey Jr. may not be wearing the suit again, but he will still be present in the "Iron Man" movie franchise. It is said that he will produce "Iron Man" 4 together with his wife.
