iPod touch fans were disappointed after learning that their much-awaited next-generation update was not included in the latest media launch conducted by Apple Inc. on Oct. 16, but they are still not losing hope.

Rumors have begun to circulate about the possible unveiling of the sixth-generation iPod product alongside the release of the Apple Watch, the company's first venture into the wearable device market.

There are speculations saying that the release of iPod touch 6G has been delayed until the first quarter of 2015 because there are several setbacks in its development and testing stages. Others believe that the Cupertino company is trying out two different screen sizes for the device, which is what they did with the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.

Other reports, on the other hand, say that the company is concerned about the possible pricing for the product. Because the iPod touch is not a mobile phone product, it means that network carriers cannot offer the device with a phone contract to help set an installment price in the market.

Still, hopeful fans are looking forward to the reported new iPod touch 6G features. Based on earlier reports, the improved iPod touch will be a complete entertainment device. iPod touch is known as a music player, that is why the public is curious about what Apple can do to make it a complete package.

Some of the hearsays about the new iPod touch 6G include an enhanced screen resolution, more storage space that could reach 128 GB, as well as the possible Retina display and Touch ID features that are already offered in the latest flagship products of the company.

Aside from the iPod touch, other rumored Apple devices that will be released in the first quarter of 2015 include the alleged Apple TV as well as the highly awaited Mac Pro.
