Rumor mills continue to churn out possible features and specs that the world will see in the iPhone 7, and the newest one is that the next smartphone flagship will be the first device to run the upcoming iOS 9. According to Value Walk, the new operating system will be rolled out by fall. Around that time, the iPhone 7 should have come alight as well.

The same site, citing news outlets from Korea, also reported that A9 processors, the alleged units to be chipped in the iPhone 6's successor, are already being manufactured by Samsung Electronics in a factory located in Austin, Texas. The new processors are said to be thinner, lighter and superior to the A8 in terms of power.

Apple should be moving ahead for the future handset as rumors are not taking a softer line regarding the manufacture of sapphire glass, which is heavily speculated to come in the iPhone 7. Foxconn Technology is said to be putting up a factory in Taiwan to cater to the full-scale sapphire glass production.

This also comes with the news that the Cupertino-based firm is thinking of using OLED displays as Foxconn allegedly received an order from the tech company about curved displays for devices in 2016 and 2017. Air Herald stated that the order was of different sizes, meaning that the iPhone 7 could be made in two variants. That's following in its predecessor's footsteps as it came in both 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. There are also conjectures that Apple will make the first-ever Quad HD smartphone of the firm in the iPhone 7.

As far as the rest of the specs are concerned, speculations suggest that the RAM and storage capacity will be upped to 4 GB and 256 GB, respectively, and that its camera will be a dual-lens unit that can capture photos like a DSLR. A more specific rumor for that department is the inclusion of a 16-megapixel rear-facing shooter along with a 4-megapixel FaceTime camera.

Apple has yet to corroborate on the rampant rumors but users and fans expect the iPhone 7 to come out by September this year.
