Apple's upcoming mobile operating system update, the iOS 8.2, has already been jailbroken by Chinese jailbreak team TaiG even though the update is still unreleased to the public.
The news about the release of the TaiG jailbreak was revealed by tipster MuscleNerd via Twitter on Nov. 29, saying that the group came out with a jailbreak for the current and previous versions of iOS (iOS 8.0, iOS 8.1 and iOS 8.1.1) as well as the soon to be released iOS 8.2, which is currently in the beta phase. However, the tipster also mentioned that it would be better if Apple users will wait at least a few days before they choose to download the jailbreak tool.
TaiG was one of the jailbreak teams that worked on the infamous iOS 7 jailbreak from the Evad3rs, which came up with the supposed "app store" from TaiG that allowed illegal downloading of pirated apps from the official Apple Store. That inclusion earned a negative reaction from the iOS community, prompting to Evad3rs' decision to remove TaiG in their updated jailbreak tool.
Currently, the new TaiG jailbreak is available for download. It can be used by both Mac and Windows PC users by connecting an iPhone or iPad to the computer via USB, and following the given prompt shown in the on-screen menus.
But before downloading the jailbreak tool from TaiG, Apple users should always back up their devices through iTunes or iCloud first and disable all running anti-virus softwares or firewalls that could interfere with TaiG's connection to the Internet. The device should also have at least 80 percent battery life before running the jailbreak download.
The compatible devices for TaiG's untethered jailbreak include all iPhone versions (iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, and iPhone 4s), all iPad versions (iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini), as well as the iPod touch 5G.
