It has been more than a couple of weeks since Apple released the update for their operating systems, the iOS 11, which had been previously reported to contain bugs that oddly also affected Apple's new flagship phones – the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. In an attempt to rectify the situation, the juggernaut tech company has been releasing fixes promptly, with the most current version of the update at 11.0.2. Does this update fix some of the previous issues?
According to BGR, one of the major issues that the 11.0.2 update addressed is the distorted sounds that users encounter when engaged in conversations. Even if Apple had promised to fix this issue immediately, it still took Apple weeks before they could finally resolve the nuisance which was probably annoying for those who had purchased the company's brand new flagship phones.
Another issue that iPhone users have been complaining about was regarding photos, wherein some photos would be hidden from the user. The 11.0.2 will be looking to fix this issue as well, so that all the photos taken will be made available to the users once again. This seemed to be an issue that involved the internal system's encrypted programming, which after the issue was reported, needed only a slight tweak to fix.
In a report by Gotta Be Mobile, there is yet an issue that needs addressing after having applied the update on the smartphones. They stated that the stability which the update has provided has only been tested with the most commonly used apps such as Twitter, Spotify, YouTube, Gmail, and Slack. It could be possible that other problems could still exist at this point.
The update can be downloaded via computer to avoid any form of hassle. According to Tech Crunch, this is a recommended way of doing it, as long as users make sure to have iTunes so that the smartphones' operating system can be updated through the app.
