The HTC Watch is one of the highly anticipated wearables from the community. It has also been in the rumor mill for quite a time already, since 2013. It was expected to be revealed last April, but nothing showed up, then again this month. Now, it has been pushed back to fall.

Evan Blass, the famous tipster, broke the news that the HTC smartwatch's release has been pushed back one more time. He said in his post, "What a clusterf***: HTC wearable bumped again, to the fall. Hurry up, HTC, before people realize that they don't really need these products."

Back in February, Blass mentioned that the device would be ready by the end of April.

There are several speculations on the cause of the delay. Phandroid mentioned that it could be related to the Android Wear 2.0, which promises several changes and improvements over the previous version. Also, the upcoming HTC Nexus devices are rumored to arrive later this year, GSM Arena reported.

Google already announced Android Wear 2.0 last month, during its I/O event, but will only release it this coming fall. The new version contains several improvements from its previous version that was launched two years ago. The new version will have a new user interface (UI), expanded notifications, darker-colored interface, keyboard that recognizes swipe typing, handwriting recognition and Google Fit activity data.

HTC CEO Cher Wang said during the Mobile World Congress in February in Barcelona, "When HTC comes out with a smartwatch, we will turn the industry on its head." During the same moment, the company's CFO Neither Chang added that they would also make sure that it would blend well with their other products before showing it to the public.

Very little information is known about the smartwatch, and previous reports mentioned that it was dubbed the HTC One and internally known as Halfbeak, then it became Petra. It is also rumored to offer a 360 x 360 pixel round display.

Fans can expect more news with regards to the HTC smartwatch within the next few months.
