'How to Get Away with Murder' season 2 spoilers: Did Annalise, Frank or Wes kill Rebecca?

Did Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) kill Rebecca? ABC

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 will return to the small screen with a big revelation. Entertainment Weekly has learned that the first episode of the new season will immediately make known the identity of the person accountable for Rebecca's murder.

This should be good news to fans who have been rummaging every piece of evidence they can get to pinpoint the killer. In its first season, the crime thriller had to wait for most of the episodes before revealing that puppy Wes butchered Sam and bulldog Frank killed Lila.

Rebecca was Wes' troubled girlfriend. She was found lifeless by Frank and Annalise in their own basement. Both denied their involvement with the gruesome crime but also accused each other of having something to do with the murder.

Frank is both in and out of the circle of suspected culprits simply because he was fresh off the prior slaying of Lila. This makes him too obvious to be the perpetrator here. Annalise is a suspect for keeping Rebecca's demise from the victim's own boyfriend.

However, majority of fans who haven't stopped trying to solve the mystery expect that season 2 will identify Wes as the killer. At one point, Rebecca thought that this man could kill his own mother if he wanted to.

Furthermore, killing someone may be Wes' response after being deceived about Lila's death. Entertainment Weekly surmises that the puppy is too consumed with the impression that the sorority gal was killed by Annalise that he, in turn, murdered his own girlfriend.

In other related news, Kendrick Simpson from "The Vampire Diaries" has scored a recurring role in "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2. There is no word on the character he will play but Deadline reports the season premiere would reveal that as well.
