'How to Get Away with Murder' episode 6 spoilers: Asher gets the spotlight

 ABC

As the events leading to the killing of Annalise Keating's husband start to take shape, her chosen law students will try to help her change the fate of an innocent man in death row in the upcoming episode of "How to Get Away with Murder."

The synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Freakin-Whack-A-Mole" says:

"A case gets personal for Annalise and the team when their client is a man from the projects who was sentenced to death by Asher's father several years ago. Meanwhile, Wes is still angry at Annalise for hiding information about Lila's case, so Annalise must convince him to get back in line. In flash-forwards, we find out exactly where Asher was on the night of the murder."

This means that the episode will concentrate on Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry), one of Annalise's (Viola Davis) best students. He will get to play a big role in the case for their new client, and viewers will also get to see more of him during the flash-forwards.

Meanwhile, Annalise manages to get an emergency hearing for her client named David Allen to overturn his death penalty. However, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court only gives her three days to prepare for the trial. It means that the group of students working under her only has 72 hours to make sure that Annalise wins this case.

Also, Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) grills Annalise about why she is keeping her husband Professor Sam Keating's involvement in the Lila Stangard murder case after he and Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findley) found out in episode 5 that Sam is the naked man on Lila's phone.

"How to Get Away with Murder" has earned favorable response from critics and viewers since its debut on Sept. 25. Viola Davis' portrayal of the brilliant but stern criminal lawyer Annalise Keating continues to receive praises in each episode.

The sixth episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" will be aired on Thursday, Oct. 30, on ABC.
