The popularity of "GTA 5" has gamers looking forward to "GTA 6." There's isn't much solid info about the title but thanks to the rumor mill, there are a few morsels of details popping up here and there, suggesting what to expect about the game.

With the current open world, action-adventure game enjoying its popularity, a new "GTA" iteration is still far off. As per reports, developer Rockstar will take more than two years to finish the game. In turn, speculations tip a 2019 release, entailing a four-year wait.

However, some argue that it won't take that long especially now that a few ideas to be applied on "GTA 6" may already in place. Back in 2013, Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser revealed to The Guardian that fans may see a female lead in a "GTA" game in the future.

"In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course," Houser said in response to the prospect of having to change things up on the characters side of the franchise. "We just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things that we always think about," he added.

In the past weeks, there were lingering reports that "Drive" star Ryan Gosling and partner Eva Mendes will somehow be involved in "GTA 6." Some say the lead characters will have the celebs' voices or appearance. There are even reports that Gosling already agreed to be part of the upcoming game.

As for the setting of the new "GTA" iteration, fans expect a much bigger location to do felony in. It was already hinted that London could be a possible background of the next game while some reports say the entire United States will now be available for gamers to trek in.

As great as all that sounds, nothing is set in stone but what's sure is that fans have high hopes for "GTA 6."
