Viewers are closing in on the fall finale of "Grimm" season 5, which promises action and bloodshed. The episode is titled "Wesen Nacht" and it puts Nick and Hank on the clock in containing the new threats that managed to envelope Portland and beyond.

The detectives are called in to investigate a series of Wesen gang vandalism that led to the death of a local business owner. Because of this, a friend of Monroe and Rosalee also end up getting abducted. It turns out that the deadly incidents are just a piece of a bigger, far more sinister picture.

Portland is just one of the areas that are plagued by the violence involving Wesen gangs. During the investigation, it is revealed that these killers are all over the place. "Not just in this country, it's everywhere," Trubel, with fear evident in her, says in the "Grimm" season 5 promo.

What is happening in Portland is revealed to be a portion of the tumult orchestrated by the Wesen. The clip for what is shaping up to be an action-packed season 5 fall finale shows Nick declare that what they have in front of them is war.

But before the "Grimm" season 5 installment heads in that catastrophic direction, the episode will see Trubel acquaint Nick and Adalind with what she did while she was away. Nick's protégé was badly injured and weak when she first showed herself again.

Captain Renard, on the other hand, will be crossing unchartered territory by endorsing a political candidate. Whether his first time in the field works out for him or not remains to be as big a mystery of Trubel's time away. But what's sure is that it was not an easy decision for him to get to.

"Grimm" season 5 fall finale "Wesen Nacht" airs Dec. 11 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
