Nexus X better than Samsung Galaxy S5, Note 3?

Reports say that the Google Nexus X release date is coming soon as the device is said to have appeared in Geekbench. Moreover, the document shows that the new Nexus smartphone will likely beat the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 3.

Google Nexus X, also dubbed as Nexus 6, is expected to be released on Oct. 16. The benchmark test was spotted at Geekbench that revealed impressive scores and ratings.

Phone Arena tabulated the results of iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, Nexus X, Nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, LG G3 and HTC One M8. The graphs show that the Nexus X is far superior in Single Core and Multi-Core results compared to other Android-based smartphones such as the popular Galaxy S5 and Note 3, which makes it a direct competition to Apple smartphones.

Google has not revealed the speciffications of the purported smartphone. According to rumors, Nexus X will include the following specs and features:

  • 5.9-inch QHD screen display (1440 x 2560 pixel resolution)
  • Qualcomm 805 CPU
  • 3 GB of RAM
  • Adreno 420 GPU
  • 13 MP rear camera and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera
  • 32 GB internal storage with microSD slot for additional external storage
  • Android L OS
  • Fingerprint sensor

New rumors about the device, codenamed "Shamu," seem to come out on a daily basis, perhaps prompted by the approaching supposed release date.  The latest buzz is, that the Nexus X smartphone will arrive on Oct. 16 after Google celebrated its 16th birthday. Moreover, the device was allegedly spotted in real life. Android Police published a string of photos of the alleged Google Nexus X after it was seen being used by a commuter on a bus.

Earlier reports claimed that tech giant Google would work with its former subsidiary Motorola before Lenovo bought the company. However, neither Google nor Motorola has confirmed the existence of the device. Motorola is also mum on whether or not the "Shamu" is a Google initiative.
