'The Good Wife' season 7 spoilers: Alicia needs a 'shrink', Cush Jumbo joins pack, Carrie Preston could show up

The Good Wife season 4 episode 20 CBS

Archie Panjabi and Matthew Goode won't be in "The Good Wife" season 7 but the show's ensemble isn't getting any smaller. English actress and writer Cush Jumbo will be joining the fun and drama along with, perhaps, another familiar face.

"We're still figure out exactly [her role]," creator Michelle King told TV Guide, "but we're not suggesting that Cush will be an investigator or take on that role."

This will be Jumbo's American TV debut although she is already known in the U.K. with her series titled "Vera."

Meanwhile, Carrie Preston, who plays astute lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni, expressed via Twitter how much she wants to be part of the show's seventh season, and revealed that she has her "fingers crossed" that she will put in an appearance, adding "if it were up to me, I'd be there every episode."

"If they bring me back, I don't know how they'll top penguins in my head, treadmill desks and I making out in my office, but I'm sure they'll find a way!" Preston said in response to a Twitter user who asked about the possibility of her return to the show.

Meanwhile, Juliana Marguiles believes that her character Alicia is "messed up" and needs a break from all the whirlwind of chaos and problems thrown at her in the past season.

"Seriously, she needs to be in therapy," the actress told The EDIT Magazine. "She hasn't gotten laid for a year and a half, the situation with her husband is so complicated, her children are leaving the nest, she has her own business and she's completely overwhelmed."

"And the writers are always like, 'Well, she'll work it out! To be honest, when would she have the time to see a shrink anyway?" she went on to say.

Unfortunately, though, it looks like the much-needed "shrink" is still too far away.

More challenges and troubles are coming to Alicia in "The Good Wife" season 7.
