Girl Meets World season 4 renewal update: Upcoming season 3 episode titles hint show's cancellation

Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter for "Girl Meets World" Disney Channel

The writers of "Girl Meets World" have revealed on Twitter the titles of the remaining episodes of season 3, which had fans worrying about a renewal of season 4 or more specifically, the lack of it.

This Friday, Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and the gang will be back for episode 15, "Girl Meets World of Terror 3," the show's Halloween special that imagines a world where Riley and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter).

The titles of the episodes that will air after that are "Her Monster," "Hollyworld," "A Christmas Maya," "World Meets Girl," "Sweet 16," and finally "Goodbye."

The final title gave the fans the impression that this episode will be the last one for the whole series and that "Girl Meets World" season 4 is not happening.

The writers did not comment on the reaction of fans about the title. Some are holding out hope that it is the final installment for season 3 and not the whole show, although there are still fears of cancellation, which are understandable.

Back in July, after the production for "Girl Meets World" season 3, Blanchard said that they have yet to hear from Disney with regards to the show's standing.

"Thank you to all of you who came and stuck with us. The family that we have created on our set is something I will never truly forget," Blanchard said after season 3 was wrapped up.

By August, the actress said that there is still no news about a "Girl Meets World" season 4 renewal. "I know as much as you do," Blanchard told She Knows.

"We are hoping for a season 4, obviously, because we want to continue our story, and I feel like it's an important story to tell," she went on to say.

Whatever the "Girl Meets Goodbye" episode will entail, it looks like fans will have to wait for official news on the show's fate.
