Game Awards 2015 is almost here and the list of nominees is in. Up for the prestigious Game of the Year award are five solid titles, which are also nominated for a slew of other categories. The nominees were chosen by 32 judges from publications from around the globe.

Leading the charge is "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" by CD Projekt Red, which is in the running for the biggest award of the night against "Bloodborne," "Fallout 4" (both games are also up for the Best RPG award), "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" and "Super Mario Maker."

Not only is the CD Projekt Red game close to becoming this year's best game, it is also a contender for six other Game Awards 2015 recognitions, which include Best Narrative, Best Art Direction and Best Score/Soundtrack.

Doug Cockle's performance as game protagonist Geralt is also up for an award. Lastly, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" could also end up being the Best Role Playing Game but it has to go through the likes of "Pillars of Eternity" and "Undertale" to bag the award.

Meanwhile, all five nominees of the Best Shooter award for this year's Game Awards are all potential big winners. The list includes "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," "Destiny," "Halo 5: Guardians," "Splatoon" and "Star Wars Battlefront," with the first three all nominated for the Best Multiplayer award too.

For the Best Action/Adventure award, "Batman: Arkham Knight" (also up for the Art Direction category) battles "Ori and the Blind Forest," "Assassin's Creed Syndicate," "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain." Check out the complete list of nominees here.

Game Awards 2015 will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 9 p.m. ET. Fans can watch via livestream from various channels including Twitch, YouTube, Steam, the PlayStation Network, Wii U, Xbox Live and Go90.
