Samsung has responded to reports that the Galaxy Note 5 will be coming out earlier than IFA.

Apparently some believe that Samsung would be resorting to an earlier release date with rumors that rival Apple is expected to release the much awaited iPhone 6S and 6S plus later this year. That of course is unclear for now but just the same, Samsung seems to be staying the course and use IFA as the stage to unveil the much talked about Galaxy Note 5.

Speaking of the Galaxy Note 5, it seems that there have been some changes as well.

Initially tagged as Project Zen, word has it that the name has now been changed to Project Zero 2. This should make more sense considering that it somehow plays along the lines of the Samsung Galaxy S6 codename – Project Zero.

As far as what to expect, rumors have it that it will no longer provide support for the S-Pen. This seems a bit odd considering that the S-Pen is seen as one of the defining features of the Galaxy Note series.

Further rumors believe that other features include a slew of accessories that would include a Clear View and S View casings and a keyboard cover.

These added and rumored features thus joins the fray of previously believed features that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (Project Zen or Project Zero 2) carries.

One rumor (via Sam Mobile) suggest that That includes word that the said device could possibly be equipped with a 2K or 4K screen display and a device that would run on an Exynos 7422 SoC processor.

Other rumors (via NDTV) offer something different though, believing that the Project Zero 2 handset will have a dual-edge display (5.4 or 5.5-inch dual covered AMOLED), a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 SoC, 32GB of internal storage, a 16MP main camera and 5MP front-facing camera.

Samsung has of course not confirmed any of these and the best bet is to wait until September (4 to 9) when the company is on hand at the IFA 2015 in Berlin.
