Floyd Mayweather, Amir Khan afraid of Kell Brook, says promoter

Kell Brook is set to face Frank Gavin this Saturday but it looks like his promoter has started cooking something ahead of the scheduled bout.

Brook holds an impressive 34-0 record and now his promoter seems to be indirectly inserting his guy into the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Amir Khan angle which many believe could very well be held this coming September, 2015.

The September fight is something that Mayweather claims would be his last fight before retirement although there is still lingering talk that he and Manny Pacquiao would fight again in 2016.

Brook on the other hand has long wanted a match with fellow Briton Amir Khan but all hopes for that may have been doused with the rumored fight between Mayweather and Khan.

So who is Hearns actually targeting? Khan or Mayweather? Both?

Though his guy still needs to address the impending bout with Gavin, Hearns and Brook seem pretty confident that they will come out the victor. But Gavin did warn that Brook may want to take him seriously and said that he may give the British boxer some sort of surprise once they do face off.

And so the trash talk starts despite that yet to be decided tiff. Is Mayweather and Khan scared of Brook? Hearns thinks so.

For Mayweather, Brook could be a fighter to be wary off especially if he wants to keep his clean slate. Khan on the other hand may be wary of a defeat at the hands of Brook since it could diminish his value and hope of facing fighters.

Aside from Mayweather, Khan is also on the radar of the Pacquiao camp where both could possibly face off in early 2016.

Hearns seems to have a valid argument, throwing in his hat to push for his boy Brook. But the question now is on whether anyone is listening or interested in seeing Brook be given the push to face either Mayweather or Khan?
