'Finding Carter' season 2 spoilers: 'The truth will tear you apart' - theories for new season

Finding Carter renewed for season two Facebook

Even after Carter has been found, the Wilson Family is still suffering from the incident that happened. "Finding Carter" season 2 is focusing on divulging the truth behind the kidnapping, and the show has recently hinted on a very shocking revelation.

On the official Twitter account of "Finding Carter," a March 3 tweet said "The truth will tear you apart." It sounds ominous. What is the truth? How bad or shocking is it? Who will be torn apart?

The truth doesn't sound pretty at all and while season 1 gave hints as to why Lori kidnapped Carter, fans will finally know the answer in season 2. It appears that the truth has something to do with David, Carter's father.

According to Bustle, there are three theories about the relationship between David and Lori. The first theory is that they had an affair. In season 1, Lori showed Carter a photo of David sleeping, and fans were wondering how she got a hold of those photos in the first place.

The next theory is that David actually let Lori take Carter with her. This theory follows the first one. Bustle says that Lori and David had plans of running away but he didn't push through with it. So, she continued with the plan and took Carter with her. It wasn't a kidnapping at all.

The last theory, which is also the most interesting, is that David was in cahoots with Lori all along. David set up the whole kidnapping to get ransom money because he knew that Elizabeth has a rich family. He sought the help of Lori to stage the kidnapping, but he didn't realize that she was the wrong person to work with.

Fans will know the answers soon enough when "Finding Carter" returns with a new season on March 31 on MTV.
