It should not be long before the "Fallout 4" mods for the PlayStation 4 arrive. It is being reported that they could be released in the days to come.

Bethesda Game Studios has released update 1.8 for the PC. The console versions will follow, shortly and the PlayStation 4 patch should add the long-awaited mods.

The developer announced on its blog that the PS4 and the Xbox One updates are already in certification. It will not be long before they get the green light for rollout.

"We're happy to announce Fallout 4's Creation Kit is updated today to support mods on PS4. Go to your Bethesda.net Launcher to update your Creation Kit," Bethesda wrote on its blog.

The "Fallout 4" PS4 mods were supposed to be released in June, but technical issues marred the rollout. There were issues on the overall performance, the size limit of the mods, as well as the audio support.

Around that time, it was still set for release, but it will be delayed so that Bethesda could fix the issues. By September, it was announced that the mods were canceled altogether.

Bethesda said that it was because Sony is not willing to push the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods out "the way they should work: where users can do anything they want" in the game.

The developer, however, vowed to find other ways to bring them to PS4 gamers so that no one's time and effort (counting Bethesda's efforts to build the feature and the fans waiting months for them) will be wasted.

In October, it was announced that Bethesda and Sony will still release the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods. All that appears to be far away as fans are just days away from the official launch of the feature.

When that will exactly take place, Bethesda should share the good news anytime soon.
