As the wait continues for the PlayStation 4 mods for "Fallout 4," Bethesda Games Studios continues its efforts to bring the software out and about as soon as possible.

More than that, Bethesda vice president for public relations and marketing Pete Hines revealed on Twitter that the studio is also working to "have mods work the same on all platforms."

When one fan asked Hines about the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods being available to the same extent the feature is on the Xbox One, he said, "We did that already."

"It wasn't approved. Whether it will change in the future, I don't know. It isn't up to me," he clarified. At the moment, the mods for the Sony console are slated to be released in "Fallout 4" sometime in the future.

Bethesda has yet to announce a release date for the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods. What is only certain at the moment is that the feature will be released after the "Skyrim Special Edition" gets it.

As for what the PS4 mods will entail, fans can expect that it might only be 1 GB since the remastered "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" only got that amount.

Hines also implied that the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods will not come with external assets and that players will have to do with the ones that the game has, at least for now.

When asked about the possibility of the external assets arriving at a later date, Hines said that it is up to Sony. "I couldn't possibly know since that isn't up to us," the Bethesda executive explained.

In other related news, Bethesda was rumored to release a follow-up expansion to the "Nuka World" downloadable content (DLC) for "Fallout 4."

It is supposed to be the final DLC, and this is what Hines wants gamers to realize as a new DLC is no longer in their plans.
