'Fallout 4' release date update: Is Bethesda bringing the game to E3 2015?

Gamers are on the seventh year of waiting for Bethesda to bring out a new installment in its action role-playing open world video game series, "Fallout." The latest of the franchise came out back in 2008, but the hope of many is solid that 2015 just might be the year "Fallout 4" will finally emerge. Gamers are speculating that Bethesda may at last unveil the new installment during this year's E3, which will take place in June.

The publisher has only responded with radio silence about the rumors. There is no way of knowing whether a "Fallout" game — which Air Herald believes would be a blockbuster when it comes out — or another "Elder Scrolls" installment will turn up. The gaming community does know that another first-person shooter video game in the "Doom" series is in the works.

BitBag believes that if ever Bethesda breaks its silence about "Fallout 4," it will be an announcement of the game's status instead of a release date. But with the long wait fans have borne, it seems that the only thing that matters is the assurance that the new role-playing game exists.

Although "Fallout 4" hangs in the balance, media outlets and fans can already imagine what the title would be like. There will be drastic improvements on gameplay and graphics. New characters may even grace its post-apocalyptic world. Also, BitBag infers that "Fallout 4" will be the first game to run in a new engine more capable of displaying full-blown fighting in stunning quality.

There is one persistent rumor about the setting where the full-scale battles in "Fallout 4" could be staged, and that is Boston. The location is yet to be plagued by nuclear warfare and its modernistic environment will make "Fallout 4" stand out from its predecessors that are all set in an amalgam of the contemporary and the ancient.

Bethesda is sure to make an appearance in E3, which is set to take place in the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 16 to 18, for the new "Doom" installment. Many believe, however, that the aforementioned project is not the only business the publisher will be there for. It is rumored that its participation in the convention will extend to the unveiling of "Fallout 4." Fans will just have to keep an eye out.
