Eminem album, release date, news: rap god finally announces new album, releases new single called 'Campaign Speech'

After months of reports and rumors, rapper Eminem finally announces a brand new album, and he did so by releasing a new song titled "Campaign Speech."

Eminem took to social media to break the internet-shattering good news saying, "Don't worry I'm working on an album! Here's something meanwhile," referring to the above-mentioned track.

The track seems to stand as a commentary on a number of issues that it touched on. The "Stan" hitmaker rapped about, among others, Colin Kaepernick, police brutality towards African Americans and presidential candidate Donald Trump, whose campaign for the seat in the White House has been all-around controversial.

As for the album itself, Eminem, who described himself in the song as "Chuck Norris with a thesaurus," did not provide details, but it looks like he is back in the studio to put it together.

Prior to the album reveal, Eminem was expected to drop a new album this year. However, the album, reportedly titled "Success," is rumored to come out in January.

A purported leak of the track list (with 21 songs) suggests that the Eminem album will include collaborations with Adele, The Weeknd, and Chance the Rapper among others. The authenticity of the leak is yet to be confirmed, so it is best to take it with a grain of salt.

Although legions of fans have been hoping for Eminem to release a new album, his announcement definitely came out of nowhere, especially as the Detroit-born rapper has not been on social media that much before he made the revelation.

Despite this, it has long been rumored that the rap god will come out with a new album. His latest release was "The Marshall Mathers LP 2," which came out in 2013.
