Ed Sheeran injury update: Monitoring healing for four weeks

British singer and song writer, Ed Sheeran, was just involved in a bike accident that eventually led to him being unable to perform for his upcoming Asian tour. Sheeran suffered broken bones in both his arms and ribs, and is now advised by his doctors to fully commit to healing his arms before he can resume his shows.

In a report by The Sun, Sheeran seemed to be enthusiastic of the prospect of being healed in a matter of four weeks. At the Q Awards, Sheeran remained calm and kept smiling as reporters surrounded him and asked about his injuries. Yet, the artist remained positive and claimed that he will make a speedy recovery. Sheeran even stopped to pose for selfies with his fans, and seemed calm and collected as he was photographed with other artists.

It has been revealed that Sheeran initially did not think that his injuries were that severe. According to People, after the accident, Sheeran had even continued to cycle towards a local pub in Suffolk to drink. After that, he went home, and went to sleep. When he had awoken, that was the only time that his injuries really started to bother him as he had experienced a lot of pain. It was only until then that he had thought of going to a nearby hospital.

Recently, it has been revealed that the four-week time frame had actually come from the doctors of the hospital. Apparently, Sheeran was advised that if he did not take time off from the scheduled Asian tour, it is possible that he could never recover from his injuries, as reported by Mirror. Sheeran was reportedly reluctant to cancel his shows, which was scheduled to start in the latter part of October.

However, if Sheeran disobeyed his doctors, it would be possible that he could never play a guitar again in his life, which could be devastating for his music career.
