Drake celebrates 31st birthday in Toronto and Los Angeles

The Canadian singer and song writer, Drake, had just celebrated his 31st birthday – in style, of course. The multi-platinum selling artist has made sure that he spared no expense as he hosted a birthday that catered to the most reputable and recognizable faces in the entertainment business in his hometown of Toronto.

In a report by CTV News, most of the people in the guest list of Drake's party were composed of mostly close friends, family, and basketball players. In his own turf in Toronto, Drake's party took place in the Casa Loma at the BlueBlood Steakhouse, which is a very popular and historic spot. Before enjoying the bash, Drake came from an NBA game at the Air Canada Centre as he had watched the Toronto Raptors game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

He must have been happy with that basketball game, since the Raptors had accrued a decisive victory with a score of 128 - 94 at the end of the 4th quarter. According to CBC, Drake was spotted sitting courtside in Air Canada Centre, and even had some photos taken showing the star hugging and conversing with players. DeMar Derozan and Kyle Lowry of the Raptors followed to Drake's party after the huge blowout they had just served to the 76ers.

The party itself was inspired by the famous 60s artist and pop culture icon, Andy Warhol. However, the party at Toronto may have been grand, but it was still considered to be an intimate party with just friends and family. According to The Boom Box, Drake had a follow-up party when he went to Los Angeles. Upon arriving there, he was joined by the likes of Jamie Foxx, G-Eazy, and Lamar Odom.

However, those were not the only popular celebrities that partied with Drake in Los Angeles. According to Us Magazine, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire were among the A-list celebrities to join the party. Drake's father, Dennis Graham, was also there and even sang a special number for his son.
