The unveiling of the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" was pushed back to February. This makes room for a few more character revelations of the game.
V-Jump magazine has mentioned the arrival of a destructive foe named Demigra. This demon god stands as the leader of the time breakers, who messed up the whole of the "Dragon Ball Z" timeline. This imposes the need for the Future Trunks, who will beckon players to repair the damaged timeline. As the demon god brings demolition, the roster will also have Super Saiyan Gogeta from "Dragon Ball GT." His inclusion is vital to the defeat of Omega Shenron, the ultimate enemy in the aforementioned series.
Apart from the natively wicked guys to beat, players will also see good guys switch sides. V-Jump magazine revealed the ominous powers of Towa, a blue-skinned villainess to be introduced in the game. With the use of black magic, Towa can turn the heroic allies into blindly demented rogues, corrupting their intentions to her advantage. Characters who are ensnared by it will wear bloodshot eyes and a purple aura. Players will have to defeat them to dispel the black magic that possesses them. It is not known how Towa will select her targets but gamers will likely go head to head with an evil Vegeta, Piccolo, Gotenks, Hercule and Gohan, as shown in the publication.
Siliconera adds that Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu will unsurprisingly wreak havoc in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" so gamers will have to deal with them, too. Players will also be able to get into the shoes of Super Saiyan God Goku while Super 17 should show up in the title as well.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse," which is being crafted for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC, will hit shelves in North America on Feb. 24 and those in Europe on Feb. 27.
While waiting, fans can also expect the release of the three-chapter manga counterpart of the film "Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F (Dragon Ball Z: The F in Fukkatsu, or resurrection)." The manga will be drawn by Toyotarō.
Meanwhile, the film will be released in 2D and 3D in Japan theaters on April 18. Early ticket buyers (around $12), will score an exclusive earphone jack strap of either Goku or Frieza modeled by manga creator Akira Toriyama. The movie, which is helmed by "Dragon Ball Z" animation director Tadayoshi Yamamuro, will see Frieza brought back to life, hence its title.
