The highly anticipated fighting and role-playing video game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is set to be released next month, but before then the game's developer will be running a number of beta tests for the title. The closed and open beta testing will allow the game's developers to polish the game and fix some bugs left behind after its development.

Bandai Namco has now announced the official schedules for the closed and open betas. The announcement was made during the recently held 2016 Tokyo Game Show event, during which Bandai also confirmed that the tests will be open to players worldwide. It was also revealed that the beta tests will only be available for the PlayStation 4 console, so players on the PC and the Xbox One won't be able to participate.

The game's developer also announced that not everyone will be able to participate in the closed beta as it will be an invite-only affair. On the other hand, interested parties can easily join the open beta. PlayStation 4 gamers can take part in the open beta  by simply going to the PlayStation Store to download the beta. As an incentive for players to participate, there will be a couple of in-game bonuses and special items that are transferable to the full game once it is released.

Bandai also reiterated the beta schedule on their official Twitter account. The close beta testing will be held starting Oct. 8 at 17:00 JST and will conclude on Oct. 10 at 17:00 JST. The open beta will then follow staring on Oct. 14 at 17:00 JST and then end on Oct. 17 at 17:00 JST.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is scheduled to be released worldwide on Oct. 25 and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. For Japan, the game will only be made available on the PlayStation 4.
