'Disney Infinity 3.0' news: list of Disney figures confirmed, 'Speedway Toy Box' to be sold separately

There are high expectations for "Disney Infinity 3.0" that will be released on Nintendo Wii U within the year. The latest news comes from Game Informer regarding the latest addition to the game.

"Speedway Toy Box" is confirmed for release, but it will not be sold together with "Infinity 3.0." Game Informer reported that the racing-focused game will be sold on a separate disc.

"Speedway Toy Box" is a game very similar to "Mario Kart." But instead of Super Mario characters behind the wheel, it will be the characters in the "Disney Infinity" roster that will be driving their hearts out. Moreover, the game will feature Disney-exclusive vehicles and worlds.

Sumo Digital is heading the development of the game. It is said that the game developer is making sure that the driving controls are tight and accurate as to not disappoint fans. Other things to expect from the game are the themed tracks featuring "Wreck-It-Ralph," "Frozen," "Star Wars" and "Monsters Inc."

Meanwhile, with the ever expansive character roster of "Disney Infinity 3.0," Infinity Inquirer was able to wrap up the complete list of Disney figures so far. From "Star Wars," joining "Infinity 3.0" are Anakin, Ahoka, Chewbacca, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Leia, Luke, Obi-Wan, and Yoda. From Marvel, there's Ultron and Hulkbuster Iron Man. And from Disney, there's Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Olaf, Quorra, Sam Flynn, Mulan, Anger, Disgust, Fear, Joy and Sadness.

According to the report, there will be additional characters and play sets from "Star Wars," Marvel, Disney, and Disney Pixar to be added in the coming months.

As for Mickey Mouse, while he is indeed listed in the roster, fans should only consider Mickey as a guest star in the game. Disney described Mickey Mouse is a "playful adventurer who always wins the day with imagination and heroic feats."

"Disney Infinity 3.0" is set for release in North America and Europe late this year. "Speedway Toy Box" will be released right after the "Infinity 3.0" launch.
