'Destiny' news: New Hard mode for King's Fall Raid to unlock soon

Entering its second year, Bungie had many surprises for its fans starting with improvement rollout and changes for Year Two of its futuristic space-age shooter "Destiny." Bungie is not stopping with releasing the third expansion, "The Taken King."

Continuing its update, Bungie announced that a new gameplay feature will be unlocked for Guardians starting next week. When the King's Fall Raid returns to "The Taken King," there will be an additional Hard Mode for hardcore "Destiny" players. However, Bungie cautioned that they have designed the new gameplay mode to be as challenging as possible.

In an update post on the Bungie blog, community manager David Dague wrote, "We won't give you hints, but we'll plot the difficulty incline. Recommended Light for Hard Mode is 300 – 320. The loot that will drop will be between 310-320. Gear up and mark your calendars."

The new Hard mode will be available when the next King's Fall Raid rolls out next week. Originally, the improvements and changes to the new Raid were supposed to come out on Oct. 30. However, as Guardians are already lining up for the next mission, Bungie decided to push the rollout earlier. The new Hard mode will be unlocked on Oct. 23.

Meanwhile, before the next Raid, Bungie was also supposed to return another "Destiny" mission-oriented gameplay, Trials of Osiris. The 3v3 competitive mode was introduced in the previous "House of Wolves" expansion and was scheduled to return on Oct. 16 to Oct. 18. However, players reported a glitch in the Hunter's Nightstalker subclass that can be exploited during the gameplay run. Bungie decided to postpone the return until the issue is fixed.

Aside from the glitch in the Hunter class, other observers such as Polygon have also reported that the Titan's Sunbreaker subclass also has an overpower glitch. However, the development team is investigating each glitch as deeply as possible, and it still may take some time for all classes to be balanced.
