The excitement of fans about "Destiny 2" was heightened after a leak suggesting the new location for the sequel will be Deimos, one of the satellites of the planet Mars.

A leak shows the activity of Bungie developer David Candland as "Destiny II: Private Test Build Deimos Story," which quickly elicited excitement from fans.

However, it also aroused suspicion as should it be doing tests on "Destiny 2," Bungie is expected to be discreet about and take into account leaks like this by naming the test build in a way that it will not reveal anything about the project.

Some said that Candland, who is known online as Evil Otto, was only playing "Destiny." The suspicions were confirmed when the developer himself shed light on the matter.

"What the... sigh. It's fake. Turning notifications off my phone and going back to sleep," Candland tweeted out.

"Destiny 2" being set on Deimos meant that there will be an involvement of the Greek god of terror and bigger involvement of the Cabal.

As revealed before, Bungie will start from scratch in putting together the sequel for "Destiny." It will leave behind the characters, locations, and basically, everything featured in the first game.

Although "Destiny 2" will be spanking new, Bungie is expected to find a way for players who poured hours and hours playing the original to benefit from their hard work.

It is also rumored to come with all new gameplay in destinations that will keep every hour in the game much more eventful. Players will no longer be idle as these play spaces will come with new activities to get them moving.

"Destiny 2" will allegedly be released to the PC and will feature Raid matchmaking. This will be a first for the franchise. It will, of course, be playable on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

As for the release date, "Destiny 2" is expected to arrive fall next year.
