New "Deadpool" updates are currently bouncing around the Web, and it is said that the Marvel film is slowly filling up its ensemble. However, Daniel Cudmore took to Twitter to announce that he will not be reprising his role as Colossus in the film.

Cudmore has given life to Colossus in "X2: X-Men United" in 2003, "X-Men: The Last Stand" in 2006 and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" in 2014, so it comes as a bolt from the blue to fans that the 6-foot-6-inch actor will not be able to enjoy what looks like a much bigger exposure for the Russian mutant. Screen Rant fears that this change is only the first of the string of changes on the character.

Meanwhile, fitness model and former martial artist Gina Carano is set to play the role of Angel Dust, a member of an underground mutant group called The Morlocks. It is still unknown how the mutant will be squeezed in although Dust is known to harness superhuman strength by manipulating her adrenaline levels.

"Homeland" actress Morena Baccarin is also starring as Deadpool's love interest in the forthcoming film. Cinema Blend reports that Baccarin bested five other actresses vying for the role. However, more concrete information on her role remains to be seen although Cinema Blend, basing on a casting call sheet it acquired days ago, believes that she will either be Domino or Copycat. The former is a mutant that came out of a government breeding program. The latter is a shape-shifting mutant and Deadpool's girlfriend before Deadpool's terrible experiments.

T.J. Miller will also be in "Deadpool" as the sidekick of the mercenary and anti-hero. Design & Trend says that Miller's role Weasel will bring comedic relief to the movie. The titular character will be played by Ryan Reynolds. Deadpool comes about after he acquires superpowers during a procedure meant to cure his cancer. Ed Skrein from "Game of Thrones" is rumored to play as Ridge, the villain in the movie.

"Deadpool" will hit theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
