Cleveland Cavaliers rumors: Kevin Love may not re-sign after this season

Though it has yet to be confirmed, it looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers' woes will continue up to the end of the season. There is no telling what lies ahead for the souped-up Cavs but one thing's for sure, Kevin Love may not be around next season anymore.

Apparently this is tied up with salary cap issues. Love is expected to opt out by the end of the season though there is a small glimmer of hope on the horizon. And this can only happen if Love re-signs for one year.

Then again, it would all depend on both the Cavs and Love as far as looking forward. Both are obviously on the prowl for a long-term relationship and this is something that will evidently not materializes come season end.

But if we are to take head coach David Blatt's comments seriously, Love could very well be leaving for good. This had something to do with Blatt's tirade of saying that "Kevin's not a max player yet".

Depending on how you view the statements made by Blatt, such could be one in the wrong direction. Especially if you look at how the Cavs have performed and that Blatt is only in his first year as an NBA head coach, that could add more fuel to the fire the Cavs are in rather than make amends.

At 19-18, the Cavs have so far been far from the team that everyone expected. And with rumors about Love leaving by the end of the season only makes things worse for Dan Gilber and his boys.

Could it be possible that the Cavs would eventually collapse? That would all depend on the Cavaliers. With James rumored to be back when they meet the Suns, all these negativity could finally end…at least for the current campaign.
