Cleveland Cavaliers NBA 2015 news: James Love to opt out of contract?

Kevin Love and Lebron James could be joining other NBA players in the free agent market if rumors hold true that they are opting out.

Of course, if both opt out, it doesn't indicate that the duo would be leaving the Cleveland fold. Chances are this would be a move to sign a longer and richer contract though other teams are likely to pitch as well.

It hasn't exactly been a smooth season for Love. Other than his untimely injury which occurred during the Cavs first round series with the Boston Celtics, he has been scrutinized all season long. Apparently Love is trying to adjust to the new environment where he is no longer the top dog since James and Kyrie Irving are there to take the lead when necessary.

Love did put up good numbers despite his seemingly diminished role though it seems that fans and critics were expecting a whole lot more from him.

Regardless of the criticism, it is believed that Love (and James) will be returning for the Cavs next season.

Love made that statement at the start of the NBA Finals and was obviously itching to help the Cavs against the eventual champion Golden State Warriors.

James on the other hand may be disappointed for now after falling short of his promise. But until he does fulfill that promise, he will most likely continue to stay and play for his hometown.

Love could listen to offers but one thing he may be looking for is a shot at the title. For now, that seems to be the only thing that could sway him out of Cleveland.

But seeing that Cleveland has already gotten there on their first try, they are most likely to repeat the feat next year depending on who stays and who goes from the team in the offseason.
