The holidays will be sweeter for "Clash of Clans" players as developer Supercell is expected to drop a massive update for the mobile strategy video game.

A reliable "Clash of Clans" tipster and Reddit user, Chief Spencer, found game files pertaining to new content coming to the game. If the game codes are anything to go by, the "Clash of Clans" December update will include the all-new Barbarian King statue priced at 500 gems.

The Red Barbarian King will also reportedly be brought to the game, and buying a gem package should get players both the Red Barbarian King and the Red Archer Queen.

The "Clash of Clans" December update is also expected to add the shipyard, which is believed to be made unlockable at Town Hall 4 for 50,000 gold.

It is rumored that the shipyard will be in the daily challenges, which means pirates can raid it and steal gems. Additionally, the "Clash of Clans" update will also reportedly add new air defenses.

Since it is going to be a released next month, the update is believed to include Christmas-themed goodies. What these goodies will be is still a mystery at the moment.

The exact release date of the "Clash of Clans" update is also yet to be revealed, but it is likely that it will arrive around Christmas, which means that there is still less than a month of waiting for players.

In other news, Supercell did an unannounced maintenance that lasted for only 10 minutes. The studio said that the purpose of the update was to fix a couple small bugs and also to enable a limited-time Black Friday special pack.

Rumor has it that Supercell wants to rival "Clash of Clans" in popularity by being consistent on updates and new content. The December goodies are reportedly their way to make that happen.
