These days, apps have come out like crazy and have somehow been indirectly trying to take the place of laptops. Laptops are of course more useful in more ways than one which still make them incomparable.
But why should one get a Chromebook? What does it carry?
Aside from fad, Chromebooks can provide eventual owners the necessary computing aids through the help of apps. There is an abundance of apps available right now and each one could take the place of what one could normally do on the laptop. But are Chromebooks ready to replace laptops?
When it comes to buying either a laptop or a Chromebook, it depends on how and where you will use it. For the old hands, laptops or notebooks are surely still the best way to go. However for the modernized users who find satisfaction on what Chromebooks have to offer, some may beg to differ.
So is this an issue between the jurassic and modern techies? In a sense it could be.
Chromebooks are seen as a larger version for mobile phones or tablets, mainly since they are optimized for Google apps. But when it come to daily applications like Microsoft Office, the transition may not necessarily be easy to adjust to.
There are apps which could be used instead, alternatives that could be called upon. But for the folks who may not be that advanced when it comes to improvising and adapting to the modern ways via the modern day Cloud technology, it may initially draw negative reactions.
As far as usability is concerned, take note that Chromebooks rely heavily on the Internet while a laptop can function without it. That is a striking disparity and something which places the Chromebook on a limited capacity.
So when it comes down to buying a Chromebook or a Laptop, it seems that a laptop is still the reasonable buy. Chromebooks are fine if not for the Internet and app-relying features but seeing that Internet connectivity could be a prime requirement places it in question. That is unless you have 24/7 Internet connection or would not mind racking up bills using the data plan of your carrier.
