A complicated sex trafficking case in the next episode of "Chicago Med" season 2 will lead to the team-up of Dr. Charles and Detective Lindsay (Sophia Bush) from "Chicago P.D."
Titled "Alternative Medicine," the episode will show Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo) approached by a young man named Danny (Nick Marini) who claims he's being trafficked by dangerous people.
The promo for Chicago Med" season 2 episode 6 suggests that this victim follows Reese around, waiting for the right time to approach her.
When he finally got the chance (Reese was starting to take notice), the victim said on the verge of tears, "They make me do things I don't want to."
Being involved meant that Reese's life is now on the line. "These people, they'll hurt you," the young man warned her in the episode 6 promo.
Reese decides to turn to Charles and Lindsay to save the victim's life. She was warned not to get more involved with Charles, telling her to "step away," as he already was not happy Reese met up with Danny, while Lindsay advised her to be careful.
The fact that she has the knowledge about it puts her in the crosshairs of these dangerous people, but fans can trust on the tandem of Charles and Lindsay on this one, which they will see in action in "Chicago Med" season 2 episode 6.
Lindsay will be around in the next two episodes after "Alternative Medicine," which suggests that his case might actually be more complicated than it seems.
Meanwhile, Reese just got back to work after being kicked out last season. All she hopes for is to help people. This shows the possibility that the danger of this case will not make Reese step back. Charles is the one that brought her back in, so his interest is also about keeping Reese safe.
"Chicago Med" season 2 episode 6, "Alternative Medicine," airs on Thursday, Oct. 27, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
