This week's installment of "Chicago Fire" season 5, "Lift Each Other," will reunite the Dawson family only to break them apart again.

Gabby (Monica Raymund) and Antonio (Jon Seda) will attend the big anniversary celebration of their parents, to be played by Fulvia Vergel and Daniel Zacapa.

However, the Dawson family reunion in "Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 7 will not be as romantic as Antonio and Gabby have hoped.

Their parents choose their big anniversary dinner to announce they're getting divorced, executive producer Michael Brandt revealed to TV Line. "So that throws everything into a tailspin," he added.

This big bombshell ultimately changes Gabby's perspective on marriage, especially after her belief that her parents have a "perfect" one.

"No matter how young or old you are, when you hear your parents are splitting, it changes everything," Raymund said of the heartbreaking news.

"It re-evaluates everything for you... and maybe your perspective changes on what a family is, what a family should be. What does that mean if the bonds of marriage can be broken so easily? Should you even get married?" she went on to say.

The trailer for the upcoming episode teases that Gabby feels blindsided about learning her parents are divorcing. Antonio reacted a little more aggressively.

The promo showed him ready to punch someone but was just stopped by his friends. Good thing Gabby and Antonio came with their significant others, Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Sylvie (Kara Killmer), respectively.

The two will definitely be there to help them get through this new hurdle in their lives. It remains to be seen, however, how the divorce will affect Gabby and Casey's plans.

The couple is expected to tie the knot soon. However, the Dawson reunion's bitter turn might change her mind.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 7, "Lift Each Other," airs on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
