Chicago Bulls NBA rumors: Is there really conflict between Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler?

The conflict between Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler exists only in the papers. This is how the Chicago Bulls head honchos are summing up rumors that both players are not getting along.

A rewind towards the NBA Eastern Conference finals will reveal that both players were reportedly at odds when the team lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Such has been a looming problem in the basketball buzz world but as far as the Bulls management is concerned, they don't see anything that points towards developing friction between Rose and Butler.

Bulls general manager Gar Forman says he has read the articles about that said friction but hasn't seen it on his end.

New head coach Fred Hoiberg practically shares the same sentiment, saying that both complement each other. All that remains to be seen however until the time comes we see Hoiberg play both players on the hardwood.

Assuming that the sentiments of Forman and Hoiberg hold up, it still has to be made official. Butler is set to become a free agent and until we find out the kind of contract he gets, the conflict will still prevail.

Butler is qualified to get a max contract though he claims he is fine with a short-term contract.

Rose? Well, one thing that the Bulls cannot deny is that Rose was someone they could trade at the right price and perhaps the right asset/s. Rose has been plagued with injuries and playing with damaged knees, something many believe could make the Bulls think about potentially shipping Rose if there are any takers.

Add that angle plus the hugely denied rift and one would believe that Rose's days in Chicago could be numbered.

Add to the fact that the Bulls could divert that huge salary towards Butler (assuming he stays) and anyone will consider the fact that the Bulls are doing their best to show that all is well.

Do you believe that all is indeed well between Rose and Butler? Share your thoughts.
