Chicago Bulls NBA news, rumors: Butler-Rose to reap dividends for the Bulls?

Is there room for two highly paid superstars in one team? Well as far as Jimmy Butler is concerned, there is.

Despite continued reports concerning the real score between Butler and former NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award winner Derrick Rose, seeing the two superstars on the same page can obviously reap dividends as far as making it all the way from here on.

"I think we play well on the court together," Butler said in an interview with ESPN. "With the more time we're out there together, we'll definitely get better at it, " he added.

"I think we can play off of each other well. Especially with the offense we're going to be running now. We both get out in transition, we can both score and we can both get the ball to the open guy. I think that's what team players do, and he's really good at that. I'm pretty good at it, too. So I like our chances of being the best backcourt [in the NBA]," the basketball player said.

Butler, who recently signed a rich $94 million contract spread over five year, seems to be revved up and ready to go. Although it wasn't the contract that he had initially hinted on preferring, such was simply too hard to pass up. In fact, it would have been foolish on his part if he had walked away.

To recall, Butler was looking at a short-term deal. It was believed early in the NBA Free Agency period that he would be heading to the Los Angeles Lakers. However and if ever he did, the Bulls would have likely matched it easily. And so they did, actually even better.

Moving forward, Butler simply called the supposed rift with Rose as nothing more than rumors. He stands by his claim that there is no beef between the two despite that celebrated issue that came up during the recently concluded NBA playoffs that saw the Bulls fall to the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games.

Together, they can be a lethal backcourt indeed. For now however, people want to see how they pair up on the hardwood. That may take some more months for fans to see but if Butler's claims were true, then Chicago Bulls fans are in for quite a 2015-16 NBA season.
