All-American superhero Captain America is set to go face-to-face with new malevolent forces that will threaten the wellbeing of mankind in the highly-anticipated Marvel movie "Captain America: Civil War." But it seems that the patriotic warrior needs more than his inimitable strength and powerful shield to win the battle. That's why some of his fellow Avengers will have to join in.

Fans will again see the tandem of Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson in the new movie. Although the alluring star will be busy with the live action remake of "Ghost In The Shell" set in April 2017, directors Joe and Anthony Russo have confirmed her Marvel duties in the pipeline.

Steve Rogers' alter ego and the secret agent also known as Natasha Romanov have already defeated the bad guys together in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." The superhero soldier will once more need the assistance of femme fatale Black Widow and her spy skills on the double. However, it will take more than two to take on the adversary so another Avenger will be joining the party.

"It's going to star Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson will be back, Winter Soldier will be back and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man will also be joining us in the next film," Anthony Russo confirmed as quoted by Den of Geek.

It seems that the spruce billionaire superhero's wit, smug and iron suit will take the duo to the win. Robert Downey Jr. will be suiting up for "Captain America: Civil War," which is good news to many who cannot get enough of Tony Stark's charm. Besides, rumors are rampant about the curtain call of the "Iron Man" franchise. Fans who want to see Iron Man in action will have to turn to other Marvel movies without his name on the title.

Other stars in the film include Chadwick Boseman, who will play as T'Challa/Black Panther and Anthony Mackie, who will morph into Sam Wilson/Falcon. The ensemble also has a place for Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow and Daniel Brühl who will play a villain Marvel has yet to confirm.

"Captain America: Civil War" will land on U.K. theaters by April 2016. Viewers in the U.S. will get to see it a month earlier, specifically May 6, 2016. Den of Geek added that production will likely start next month.
