Nurse Chummy will not miss seeing how everything turns out for the midwives and the nuns of Nonnatus House. The finale of "Call the Midwife" will see actress Miranda Hart donning the nurse cap once more as she returns and stays at the nursing convent for a course at London Hospital.

Poplar district is still as problematic as it was when she left it. But the beloved place will see more troubled individuals in season 4. Along with Chummy's homecoming is the torment brought about by her mother's death. It has been a year since she lived her life without her mom by her side. Despite this, Hart believes that her character will come out stronger.

"The confrontation and reconciliation with her mother was a big thing for Chummy," the actress told What's On TV. "Despite how nervy and vulnerable Chummy can be she boldly pushes on to the next thing. I love her for that!"

In the series finale, Trixie and Sister Mary Cynthia will be helping out a pregnant woman who is deaf. As they offer their assistance, they will come to know that her morning sickness brings grave unforeseen danger to her.

In the show's ending, viewers will also see Trixie struggling with her detachment from her vicar Tom. While she sulks on her unhappy situation and temporarily finds comfort in barrels of booze, Fred will realize that his daughter looks at his upcoming wedding as nothing but a big fiasco. There's that and his relationship with his fiancée Violet on the rocks.

Although Carter Matt admits that the nurses and the individual troubles they have are certainly tear-jerking, it believes that fans could still use a long-standing narrative (longer than eight episodes at least) to get the best out of it. Nevertheless, "Call the Midwife" is expected to wrap everything up in a beautiful package instead of leaving its door open.

"Call the Midwife" will tie everything up in its final episode that will air on BBC1 on March 8.
