'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' updates: Zombie mode leaked ahead of game release

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 Activision

"Black Ops 3" is another shooter from the "Call of Duty" lineup to hand players the opportunity to engage in a fast-moving shootout with super-charged zombies. And while game company Treyarch has been very generous in sharing general tidbits about the game, it has not been very fond of showing off this aspect just yet. Unfortunately for the game studio, a massive leak of the game's sought-after Zombie mode has already made its way to the Web, giving players the first look of what Treyarch has been so ardently keeping.

The leak is courtesy of a Reddit user who claims to be an intern in Activision. The leakster says that he obtained the copious details from "corporate papers," which apparently stated that "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will follow a new ranking system, which scales 1 to 40. XP. Players will be awarded for in-game achievements and actions such as headshots and revives. It decreases everytime a player misses revives, deaths, quitting and game-overs before round 15. As the level increases, the gameplay won't change but it will endow players with faster movement, revives and emblems.

Apart from this, the leak also revealed maps to be featured in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." The first one is called Zeitgeist, described as a "steampunk Chicago" and the sole map to allow advanced movements such as wall running and sliding. This map will eventually take players to Samantha's mind, which features surreal images such as bright neon colors and animals on a rampage.

The second map, still unnamed, is a "gritty, electrical-fused pseudo lab" that will have players take the form of Dr. Maxis and three other German scientists.

The third map is the largest and the "most detailed" in the bunch. The location resembles a German village with the aura of the "Silent Hill" franchise. This buildings in the map are all explorable and players will navigate the place following the team of scientists who managed to build a vehicle to use. In this map, Dr. Maxis' goal is to "stop a worldwide curse."
The final map will take the original Pyramid of Giza heroes Dempsey, Nikolai, Takeo and Richtofen into the Nile.

Neither Treyarch nor game publisher Activision has said a word about the leak.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be out Nov. 6.
