Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus news: They are now living together, source claims

Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus are reportedly taking their relationship one step further as they move in together in a luxury apartment in New York City.

A source told Us Weekly that the "Justice League" star will be "living there with Lindsay" every time he is in town.

The couple were previously spotted looking for houses in Los Angeles, where Affleck's family -- ex-wife Jennifer Garner and children Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 -- are all living. But it looks like they opted instead for the city where Shookus is staying to be close to her job.

The source, however, clarified that the 45-year-old father's focus will still be his kids. He will be living with Shookus only when he is in New York, but will still spend a lot of time in the West Coast.

"He's trying to live a normal life and is focused on putting his family first," said a source close to Affleck.

The actor is actively co-parenting his kids with Garner. The family spent the Thanksgiving holidays together in the "Alias" actress' California home. He also took their children to watch the musical "Hamilton" on Sunday.

Affleck and Garner were married for 10 years before they separated in 2015. They officially filed for divorce earlier this year, a few months before the actor and Shookus reportedly started dating.

Despite this, the former couple remain to be in a great relationship. Affleck has been very honest about his struggle with alcohol abuse, and he often leaned on his close friends and family, including Garner, to get through.

In September, sources told people that he turned to his ex-wife after suffering another relapse.

"He asked for help. He wants to be sober," the family insider said.

The source clarified that despite having a "rough year," he is doing great at the moment. "He seems more honest with himself," the insider shared.
