'Batman: Arkham Knight' character update: Game to include Catwoman, Nightwing, Azkael and Robin

Rocksteady is very busy teasing fans on the characters that will grace "Batman: Arkham Knight." In just three days, the game studio was able to confirm the return of Catwoman and Azkael in two separate trailers.

The couple of 15-second teasers for the third and final video game in the "Batman: Arkham" trilogy are part of Rocksteady's countdown to a trailer titled "All Who Follow You," which is believed to be dropping a big bombshell regarding the comeback of another legendary character in the "Arkham" universe.

Rocksteady's proclivity to plant clues that reveal the identity of several other characters included in the game has led fans to discover that Robin and Nightwing will be joining the stellar ensemble as well.

By entering the codes mined by gamers in the Person of Interest box on the game's website, players will be able to read the bios of the characters. The codes include: "bostaff" for Robin; "parkrow" for Catwoman; "flyinggraysons" for Nightwing; and "suit of sorrows" for Azkael.

There will be more superheroes joining the pack but Rocksteady will not be revealing them in one fell swoop. As Screen Rant said, the game studio may be replicating the marketing strategy NetherRealm used for "Mortal Kombat X," which attracted a lot of hype that still resonates beyond the release of the title.

Gamers are likely to see Scarecrow, Riddler, Penguin and the Arkham Knight himself in action in the coming weeks. They may even see them in the "All Who Follow You" trailer to be released Monday, April 27.

Rocksteady has plenty of time to introduce the characters on and against Batman's side, and it looks like the developer is eyeing a glorious reveal for the mighty baddies going after the Caped Crusader.

"Batman: Arkham Knight" will be rolled out for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 23.
