'Batman: Arkham Knight' rumors: Is Superman making an appearance in the upcoming game set for June release?

As the hype around the epic clash of the Man of Steel and the Caped Crusader in the silver screen continues, new reports claim that an encounter will also happen in the video gaming world and it will be staged in Rocksteady's latest video game, "Batman: Arkham Knight".

Design & Trend and The Inquistr brought up the speculations when some revealing details on the IMDB page of the upcoming game were spotted. Media outlets were struck about the fact that voice actor George Newbern will be lending his voice to the game as Superman. Newbern already played the role of the superhero in several projects like "Justice League Animated Series" so having him chipped in should not come as a bolt from the blue.

With the possibility of Superman appearing in the new game, fans are left to wonder what he will do to shake up the city. Design & Trend believes that the superhero will only spill some one-liners or a couple of impacting dialogues with only a short cameo appearance at the maximum. This is to add to the cinematic feel of the game. However, other conjectures involve having him as a playable character in the Batman-centered installment. Speculations also suggest that Superman will come as a downloadable content and one of the Gotham's hero's adversaries.

While this remained unconfirmed, the untimely unveiling of Superman's participation in the game seemed to have compelled Rocksteady to remove it from the IMDB listing. Although it is unsure whether it was a piece of erroneous information or a nicety divulged at the wrong time, nobody knows. As its release nears, Jun. 2 next year, every question should be answered.

In other news, "Batman: Arkham Knight" made it to the cover of UK video game magazine EDGE. It shows the Arkham Knight looking dangerous and powerful with sleek Batman-killing suit. The issue is available digitally.
