Asus Zenfone 2 release date in India next week

The Asus Zenfone 2 has officially been launched in the regions of China and Europe but if rumors hold up, the Zenfone 2 could in India as well this coming April 13.

Various reports reveal that the Zenfone 2 will be launched at a special event scheduled on April 13. And while that should be good news for folks over in India planning to get the device, it may only be the 4GB variant that would become available.

The Asus Zenfone 2 has already been officially launched in France where the entry level Zenfone 2 ZE500CL is priced at around $193. Pricing for other variants have also been revealed with the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML pegged at $268 and the top-end version (ZE551ML) priced at $375. For folks who are planning to get the Asus Zenfone ZE551ML, it will be initially priced at $321 as part of a promotional offer.

Among the features that the Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) carries include a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display (1080x1920 pixels), an Intel Atom Z3580 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 13MP back camera, and a 5MP front snapper.

With regards to storage, the ZE551ML will be available in 16/32/64 internal storage variants with provisions for expansion via the microSD of up to 64GB. It will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will come equipped with a 3000 mAh battery.
