It seems that the bottleneck is finally out of the way and that the formal launch of Apple's first wearable offering will go on the green light soon. Recent reports suggest that the titanic Cupertino-based firm has overcome the setbacks that majorly impeded the manufacturing of the Apple Watch, and the company is now set to hit the road to mass production by January next year. The news came from Taiwan-based site United Daily News, which gathered details from various supply chain stores, Christian Post reported.
Mac Rumors, as Breathe Cast echoed, reported that Apple aimed to produce tons of market-ready Apple Watch units just in time for the Christmas season. However, this did not transpire. In October, reports indicated that the production process was pushed further because of some issues about the parts of the Apple Watch. GSM Arena, as Christian Post cited, believes that the holdup involves Apple's shortage of components for the upcoming smartwatch, which the site feared could lead the giant tech firm to roll out a limited number of the timepiece upon its release.
Nevertheless, loyal customers who are waiting for the unveiling of the Apple Watch have nothing to fret about. As per Breathe Cast, Quanta Computer (the company tasked to stock up on the Apple Watch) augmented and multiplied its manpower from 2,000 to 10,000 just to deliver Apple's alleged 5 million timepiece target. The number of employees to take part in the process will be doubled by the time the production of the Apple Watch is set in stone.
The Apple Watch was introduced by CEO Tim Cook during the keynote event that launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in October. The new wearable is expected to be released in February next year. There will be three editions and two sizes for the Apple Watch. The starting price for the latest Apple device, as suggested by Mac Rumors, will be about $349.
