Apple CEO Tim Cook has finally made its "early 2015" Apple Watch release date less vague. According to reports, Cook announced that April will be the month that the insanely hyped-up wearable will be shown to the world. The CEO debunked differing claims about the launch date of the timepiece and took it upon himself to put all those to rest. According to Full Time Whistle, it came from the head of the company himself that the development of the Apple Watch is on schedule and that he wore the device to test it personally and was impressed with the results.

The Apple Watch was introduced back in September, when the Cupertino-based tech company introduced its first sizeable iPhones, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. Since the announcement, the Apple Watch put everyone in the Apple community at the edge of their seats while they got a load of the phenomenal flagship smartphones. In the middle of it all, many reports sprouted that the tech giant has met problems with its components and was forced to delay the release.

In the latest research note by KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, the Apple Watch is deemed ready for shipping by March. The expert also predicted that 2.8 million units of the device will be sold on that month alone. He went on to say that a special event prior to the big and much-awaited unveiling will take place so Apple can divulge details about pricing and features of the tech watch.

Apple introduced three models of the wearable device. One is simply called the Apple Watch, another is labeled the Apple Watch Sport, and the last one is named Apple Watch Edition, which is the most expensive one among the bunch for its 18-karat gold case. The Sport collection comes in lightweight anodized aluminum. The standard Apple Watch comes in stainless steel. Various leather bands will be available to suit buyers' personal taste.

The wearable will serve as a workout companion, flashing info on distance traveled, hours slept, calories shed as well as the heart rate right on the wearer's wrist. Messages, emails, weather updates and many other essentials will also be a main thing in the Apple Watch.
